Surface preparation

The sanding machines themselves, from delta and orbital sanders for detail through belt sanders and long-reach machines for walls and ceilings. The geared ROTEX machines cover the most ground: a rotary mode that removes material quickly, a random-orbit mode for finishing, and a polishing mode, changed with a switch rather than a second tool. The 90 mm model adds a delta pad for corners. Pads decide the finish as much as the grit does. They come in 90, 125 and 150 mm in hard, soft and supersoft, with FastFix fitting so a pad changes without tools. Hard for flat panels and crisp edges, soft for gentle contours, supersoft where the surface curves away under the machine. Interface pads soften a hard pad when a profile needs it.
