Spindles that carry the disc cutters, taking discs from 1.5 to 5 mm thick. The spindle is what the disc bolts to, and the bearing on it sets how far the cut sits from the workpiece edge. Versions come with different bearing sizes or none — the bearing rides the surface so the groove keeps a constant distance from it, which on a door frame is what makes the seal sit straight.
