A portable table saw with SawStop AIM technology, which is the reason to read past the specification. A capacitive sensor watches the blade for contact with skin; if it finds it, a spring-loaded cartridge drives an aluminium block into the teeth and the blade stops and drops below the table within about five milliseconds. The injury that would have taken fingers becomes a scratch. Afterwards you fit a new cartridge and a new blade and carry on. The system can be switched off for conductive material — wet timber, aluminium, foil-faced board — which would otherwise trigger it. Everything else about it is a good site table saw; this is the part that matters.
